Well I do.
But it wasn’t always that way. When I first moved to the Chicago area many, many, many years ago, I tried a several dentists. I thought it was strange that I had to make three separate appointments for x-rays, checkup, and cleaning. One time after not having no cavities since I was a kid, I was told I needed to get several fillings ~ I don't think so! I got so fed up that I started going to my dentist in my hometown over 350 miles away.
Finally I decided to try another dentist near my home. This dentist was a family practice that the father started when he migrated to the US. Now his two sons are continuing the practice.
I’ve been three times in the last two years. For many years I would only go once a year for a checkup as I didn’t want to get x-rays every six months. My new dentist told me I could get x-rays every couple years since I didn't have my issues during my checkup.
Practicing exceptional customer service has resulted in consistent five star reviews.
Is Professional and Proficient:
- Great creditials - Both brothers graduated from pretigious dental schools
- Upfront about price when I made my first appointment
- My dentist reads my chart before he walks in
- Checks and cleans teeth proficiently
- Asks if I have any questions before he wraps up
Is Consistent:
- After I make an appointment, receive text message to confirm appointment and another courtesy text on the morning of the appointment
- Waiting room is clean and cozy
Provides Delight and Surprise:
- Even though I have seen my dentist only a few times, he remembers me (or read his notes) and asks about my life and seems happy to see me
- When I check out I get a ‘goody bag’ that coansists of a quality toothbrush, a few varieties of sample toothpastes and floss
This is why my dentist schedule is full and I need to book a month out even to get an appointment during the week.
